We have some IMBA Mages in the guild, all using different builds that I am aware of. Some prefer the uber burst dps of Arcane, some prefer the firepower of a full fire build & some prefer the FrostFire build.

I know that Harry, Glorina, Giotaki, Picked, Morganna all have raiding Mages that are awesome to behold. I am sure there are other uberMages in the guild as well....and this post is directed at you....

As a babymage levelling, I put all 71 talent points in a full Frost spec, ...

Been doing some reading up as both me and Nos are aiming to be guild healers when we hit 80. So here follows some good info to start understanding the build, spell rotation and gear required on hitting 80 pre Nax.

Firstly for those who want to browse up on more info reguarding the spec a guide to the Terminology often used when refering to resto's.

So, what do all these abbreviations and words mean?

Death knight tanking spec?

I've been doing some digging as I'm planning to level my death knight once my hunter hits 80. Against peoples judgement in I'm gonna try to make a tank out of her, until I see with my own eyes if it can be done. Although dk tanks can tank 5 mans, it is apparantly ill advised to have them tank raids. However they are good off tanks, so they say.

Now the general idea is:

frost: tanking

blood: dps

unholy: pve

At the beginning unholy was a viable tanking spec but this has been apparantly ...

This is my spec: http://armory.wow-europe.com/character-talents.xml?r=Anachronos&n=Iosina

It wasn't always like this, I respecced many times, It's all about personal preferences I guess.

Some of the link is obsolete, so after 3.0 changes the basic conclusion of it all is:

The Basics

Get around 12k hp by 70

Get 490 Defense for crit immune

Get 250 Spell Damage or above for holy aggro, but im working on new changes as AP now adds to your aggro

I found this thread today while skimming the net.

Pretty much tells you all about how to run in instances with your tank. That is, for everybody in the instance that isn't a tank... explains what the tank is doing, why he is doing it and what you should/shouldn't do when he is doing it....

Some of it is pretty hilarious.

In this part I will be giving my opinion on the different talent builds. I will go trough the whole holy talent tree, and have a look at the 20 first points of both protection and retribution in order to complete our specs. I will also add to each talent how much points I put in them for Shibi’s spec.

So, if you don’t feel like reading the whole talent analysis but still want a decent healing spec, feel free to check out Shibi’s future spec (51/20/0)

This is related to locks AND healers (written by me, not copied and pasted)

When in instances, I get it quite a lot that I am healed by the healers after I life tap. I'm not compaining, bit I'd like to give the explanation:

Warlocks has a ability to drain life which transfers life from your target to yourself. With the right spec, you get a +% bonus for each affliction effect on the target. So, drain life is really a very usefull mid-range damage effect that can get quite strong in ...

Tank, uncrushability macro

When your tanking for a party, you want to be as hard a target to hit as possible. Defense is good, it weakens the blow, cap is 490 (unless u have a talent tree bonus to make your defense higher, this come from +defense on gear) basically at 490, its virtually impossible for a crit to be inflicted on you.

But uncrushability, adds up your dodge, parry and block stats and gives a percentage. This gives a total that if u meet, it will be impossible for a boss in instance or raid to hit you ...
